Rihanna,Singer To Honour Tom Ford At amfAR 2014
The famed fashion designer has been given
the Award of Inspiration in acknowledgement
of his work and dedication to help end the
AIDS crisis
Award winning singer Rihanna has been chosen
to present Tom Ford with the prestigious Award
of Inspiration at the amfAR Inspiration Gala next
month (29.11.14).
The ‘Diamond’ singer will be attending the annual
fundraiser in Los Angeles to honour the famed
fashion designer with the Award in
acknowledgement of his work and devotion to
help end the AIDS crisis in the world.
In an interview with E! News Rihanna said: “Tom
has inspired so many aspects of my art over the
years, not to mention his clothes give me a real
bad attitude. His commitment to the cause and
commitment to amfAR is truly admirable.”
Previous Award of Inspiration honorees have
included Jennifer Lopez, Jean-Paul Gaultier,
James Franco, Goldie Hawn and Ricky Martin.
Actress Gwyneth Paltrow will host the black-tie
event and features an incredible auction, where
celebrities donate their personal possessions to
raise money to help find a cure for AIDS.
There are many amfAR fundraisers held around
the world including Paris, New York, Sao Paulo
and Toronto each playing host to the event.
AmfAR has reportedly raised up to $16 million
since their inception.
