According to Sahara Reporters, the invasion began on Tuesday night in neighbouring towns before it spread into Mubi around noon on Wednesday, October 29. The 234 battalion is reportedly one of the largest in the town and soldiers guarding the facility were said to have initially resisted the attack but they were eventually overwhelmed after more Boko Haram members arrived with heavy firepower.
