Female Corp Member Caught Using Love Charm, Beaten To Pulp
Chinyere's love for her boyfriend led her to
voodoo. Unfortunately, she was caught and
nearly lynched by a mob.
A female member the National Youth Service
Corps (NYSC), identified as Chinyere, was at the
weekend attacked by an angry mob at Asaba,
Delta State, for allegedly attempting to administer
a love potion on her 32-year-old boyfriend.
The bizarre incident occurred near Redeemed
Junction, along Okpanam community road, Asaba,
at the weekend.
Reports leading to the near lynching are sketchy,
but Student Pulse gathered that Chinyere and
her lover were having issues after which the latter
ended the relationship.
obviously still in love, the corp member refused to
accept her boyfriends decision.
“I have invested my time and resources into this
relationship and you cannot just wake up and tell
me you are through with me. If you have done
that to other girls before, you cannot try that with
me,” she was quoted as saying in a Leadership
» report.
Following the intervention of the lover's elder
sister who resides in neighbouring Benin, the
relationship continued and Chinyere was invited
to his his residence around Okpanam community.
Later that day, they both took a stroll.
According to eyewitness reports, Chinyere
scooped sand from her lover’s footprint into a
small can when he walked away — to buy water,
as was reported.
She allegedly jumped into a commercial tricycle
and fled the scene after scooping the sand.
Unfortunately for the love-struck lady, passersby
saw her and raised alarm.
What follows is sketchy, but a mob gathered and
beat up Chinyere, nearly killing her.
