Kanembu narrated details of the attack saying
that the Boko Haram members arrived in vehicles
and on motorcycles and began shooting residents
at will.
He said:
“The insurgents burnt down the Kukawa Divisional
Police station and some public buildings in the
town. I cannot tell the casualty figure because we
had to flee the town in fear of our lives.”
Another resident, Mohammed Mafindi

had been killed in the attack which occurred
between 4:00 am and 10 am.
