Soldier Kills Love Rival In Plateau Over Girlfriend
An angry soldier has allegedely shot and killed
a fellow man for daring to drag a woman with
him.
What extent can a man go to show his love for a
woman? Would you kill a fellow man to show the
woman how much you love her? Well, this is
exactly what a soldier attached to the Special Task
Force, (STF), on the Jos, Plateau State crisis,
allegedly did when he reportedly shot and
killed » a man who has been having 'eyes' for
the soldier's girlfriend. The ugly and sad incident
happened at Jarmai village of Kanam Local
Government Area of the state.
According to ThisDay newspaper » , the
deceased, named Buhari Alhaji Kawu, was said to
have incurred the wrath of the rampaging soldier
who would not brook any nonsense from a
bloody civilian who dared to insult his woman by
asking her out. The soldier reportedly intercepted
Buhari and his brother, Ibrahim Alhaji Kawu, and
also dispossessed them of the sum of N80,000.
Abdullahi Abubakar, a relation of the deceased,
told journalists in Jos that the soldier was
reported to have been trailing Buhari, who had
allegedly insulted his girlfriend, and that when he
eventually met him with his brother, killed him
and dispossessed them of the money.
After he carried out the dastardly act, the soldier
managed to escape by shooting sporadically into
the air to scare people away and a manhunt for
him has been fruitless.
