Ebola Update: Outbreak Can be Contained In 6 Months – Red Cross Official

A senior official of the Red Cross has said that the current Ebola outbreak can be contained within four to six months. According to a senior Red Cross official, the current Ebola outbreak can be contained within four to six months. The Secretary General of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Elhadj As Sy stated this on Wednesday, October 22, at a news conference in Beijing. He added that the disease could be contained in that time frame with "good isolation, “good treatment of the cases which are confirmed," and "safe burials.” The current Ebola outbreak, with a death toll of about 4500, has been described as the worst ever recorded.
