Soldiers kill scores, recover arms in Nasarawa
The Nigerian Army on Monday reportedly cracked
down on one of the camps of some insurgents at
Ipkosogye in Obi Local Government Area of
Nasarawa State, killing over an unspecified
number of the gunmen, and recovered dangerous
weapons from the invaders.
It was learnt that the gunmen opened fire on the
soldiers but the soldiers were said to have
responded with higher fire power, killing scores of
the insurgents.
It was gathered that arms, live ammunition,
cutlasses, clubs and other dangerous weapons
were recovered from the militants’ camps.
Men of the Nigerian Army had killed nine Fulani
invaders in February this year at Keana, Keana
LGA of the state in the conflict between farmers
and Fulani cattle breeders in the southern
senatorial district of the state.

had ransacked over 400 communities, killing no
fewer than 200 people and razed down about 400
houses since they started their deadly operations
four months ago without challenge from security
operatives in the state.
It was gathered that the soldiers were were
deployed from the 177 Guards battalion, Keffi to
the volatile areas of Assakio, Ashangwa,Ginda
Gambo, Ikposogye among others.
