Narrow Escape: Teacher Prevents Terrorist Attack In Niger State School
The teacher spotted two suspicious looking
men near the school about to disguise
themselves in hijabs and she raised an alarm.
A female teacher at the Maryam Babangida Girls
Science College in Minna, Niger State might
have saved the lives of many after she reportedly
averted a terrorist attack.
The unidentified teacher was said to have spotted
two suspicious looking men near the school about
to disguise themselves in hijabs.
The men told the teacher to turn back but instead
she ran to the school and alerted students and
teachers to the looming danger, Punch reports.
The school authorities then informed the police,
the military and the State Security Service who
arrived to survey the situation and quell the panic
which had arisen in the school.
The principal of the school, Hajiya Fatima
Madugu confirmed the incident saying that one
of the teachers had indeed saved the school from
being attacked.
This comes after a suicide bomber detonated
an explosive in front of the Federal College of
Education in Kontagora, Niger State. »
