Boko Haram attack Chibok again

Boko Haram militants Thursday evening attacked Chibok town in Borno state. The insurgents abducted over 200 schoolgirls in April from the community and are yet to be released. Chairman of Chibok Community in Abuja, Sambido Hosea Bana, who confirmed the incident said members of Boko Haram fleeing from Vigilantes’ attack in Mubi had captured seven Chibok villagers who had gone to Askira to make phone calls. Mr Bana said by evening, the militants had made it to Chibok, about 80 kilometers from Mubi. After Boko Haram fighters entered the town, most villagers fled for dear lives, he said. He, however said the casualty figure and extent of damage done in the town was yet uncertain as those who spoke to him about the Boko Haram’s second attack on Chibok did so after fleeing the town.
