Ebola Outbreak Disease Cases Increase In Sierra Leone
Recent statistics released by the country’s
minister of health and sanitation show that
111 new cases of Ebola were registered on
Sunday, November 9, the highest number
recorded since August.
The Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone is showing no
sign of stopping as the number of recorded cases
of the disease have increased.

new cases were registered on Sunday, November
9, the highest number recorded since August.
The United Nations has also warned that Ebola
cases in Sierra Leone are being under-reported by
up to 50%.
However, there is much more optimism as
regards the situation in Liberia as cases of the
disease are said to be reducing in number and
treatment centers are starting to record
empty beds » . At the height of the outbreak,
infected patients were being turned away
because there was no more room in any of the
hospitals.
The current Ebola outbreak has killed almost 5000
people with the bulk of the casualties being
recorded in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea.
