In Cross River State: Catholic Priest To Contest For Governor
Rev Fr. Eworo who was ordained a priest in
1977, told journalists at a media parley
recently that he intends to contest under the
platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.
A Roman Catholic priest, Francis Agantem
Eworo of the Ogoja Diocese in Cross Rivers
state has declared his interest to run for
governor of the state in the upcoming general
elections in 2015.
Rev Fr. Eworo who was ordained a priest in 1977,
told journalists at a media parley recently that he
intends to contest under the platform of the
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and if elected,
would focus on youth development.
Eworo has served in various parishes including
Ogoja, Ikom, Uruan, Calabar, and Akwa Ibom
State. He became actively involved in politics since
1999.
