Witchcraft Organisation?! Activists Oppose Oyedepo's Application To Establish School In UK

Bishop Oyedepo's bid to establish a school in the UK has faced stiff opposition from activists who say his church is linked with witchcraft:- A UK human rights campaign group, the National Secular Society (NNS), has opposed an application by the Living Faith Church Worldwide, aka Winners' Chapel International (WCI), to establish a school in Kent. A member of the NNS Stephen Evans, from the NSS, said the Winners Chapel believes in witchcraft and should thus not be allowed to operate in the country, BBC reports » . "There's a need to be vigilant and there's a need to tackle this. "You don't do this by allowing organisations that believe in witchcraft and are associated with witch-hunting to open in the UK," Evans said. It will be recalled that Bishop David Oyedepo founder of the church was shown in a Youtube video slapping a girl who claimed to be a witch for Jesus. Winners' Chapel, is also being investigated by the UK Charity Commission, over alleged conflicts of interest and the charity's financial management. Founder of the Nigerian Humanist Movement, Leo Igwe, said the church fleeces its members. "They make this money using this narrative and then they use it to establish business, universities, schools," he said. Bishop Oyedepo is reputed to be the world's richest pastor.
