Landlady kills tenant over N200, boasts nothing anyone can arrest her
A Lagos landlady who thinks she is above the laws of the land believes she can kill her tenant and get away with it:
A Lagos landlady, Mrs Idowu Adenekan, who ordered some social miscreants, popularly called area boys, to beat her tenant, 27-year old Michael Abodunrin, to death because he could not pay her the sum of N200 PHCN bill, has boasted that the deceased died for nothing because she is untouchable and no one can do anything to her.
The incident which is said to have happened on Saturday, 6th December, 2014, around 9pm at 12b, Adeyiga Street, L&K bus stop, Oworoshoki, Lagos State, has sent the area into a frenzy as the woman is said to be walking around freely after she was released on bail the same day by the police after her initial arrest.
The thugs led by one Omo Jesu, are also roaming the streets going about their businesses, telling anyone that cares to listen that as far as they are concerned, the case has been buried because they have the backing or Adenekan..
According to co-tenants of the late Abodunrin, their landlady has a knack for calling her thugs to threaten or beat any erring tenant and nobody has been able to curb her excesses, including the police who seem to be in cahoots with her because of her connections.
The incident that sent the young man to his early grave has been cited as an extremity on her part and with the police not willing to do anything, means they may have been compromised.
