In Kano: Police discover bomb in food market

The high calibre Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was found hidden in a sack at the Dawanau market today, December 11: Police officers in Kano have discovered a bomb in a popular food market in the state. The high calibre Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was found hidden in a sack at the Dawanau market today, December 11. The discovery has been confirmed by the state Police Commissioner, Aderenle Shinaba who said: “My men have successfully detonated the bomb and have since restored normalcy to the market.” This comes barely 24 hours after two suicide bombers blew themselves up at the Kwari textile market in the state leaving 6 people, including themselves, dead and 7 others injured.
