Army clears nine more terrorist camps

The Nigerian Army on Friday said it has cleared nine camps of the terrorist sect, Boko Haram, in the last three days. The Army, in a statement by the media coordinator of Operation Lafiya Dole, Col. Tukur Gusau, revealed that the troops of 115 Task Force Battalion under 28 Task Force Brigade, during clearance operations between November 3 and 5, 2015, cleared nine more Boko Haram’s strongholds around Lassa axis. Gusau said the terrorist camps includes Lassa, Muthavo, Dagu, Kumabza, Izge, Unworo, Zangore, Kilekasa and Pumpum. He said during the operation, four Boko Haram members were killed by the troops of the Nigerian Army. Gusau also said some of the terrorists who fled abandoned their weapons; he said the weapons abandoned by the terrorists include seven dane guns.
