Ngozi Okonjo-IwealaMinister named as one of world’s 50 greatest leaders
Okonjo-Iweala occupied the 33rd position on the list and was honoured alongside other notable personalities.
Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has been named by Fortune Magazine as one of the 50 greatest leaders in the world.
Okonjo-Iweala occupied the 33rd position on the list and was honoured alongside other notable personalities such as Pope Francis, Bill and Melinda Gates, Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, basketball player, Lebron James and Apple CEO, Tim Cook who occupies the first position.
The minister was recognized for ushering in a decade in which Nigeria’s GDP tripled.
She was also described as “a fearless promoter of sound economic policies.”
Fortune Magazine’s annual list celebrates men and women who are transforming lives in all spheres, including government, business and philanthropy
