HEALTH IS WEALTH: 10 Deadly Everyday Habits Which Damage Your Kidneys Beyond Repair

In the body system, there are some particular organs that are to be treated with much care. Our kidneys are two of the most important organs in our bodies, which is why our priority should be maintaining their perfect healthy and function.

These two organs helps perform crucial tasks for our body, such as filter our blood, eliminate toxins, produce hormones, absorb minerals, produce urine, neutralize acid and so much more. It is easy to say that they play essential roles in our body’s biggest functions, and if they aren’t taken well care of, they will suffer some serious health conditions.
Believe it or not, simple everyday habits we do without thinking can be deadly and cause damage to our kidneys that years of therapy and healing won’t be able to fix, which is why we decided to make a list of those habits, and help you stop them right now!

1. Not Drinking Enough Water

The first and most common mistake almost everyone makes sometimes is not drinking enough water. Since most of our body is made up of water, we must drink at least 8 glasses of it on a daily basis so our kidneys can properly filter blood, eliminate toxins and waste from our bodies.

2. Too Much Salt

Consuming too much salt from your diet can cause high blood pressure and put lots of stress on the kidneys. While salt is an important mineral for our overall health, consuming it in excessive dosage can cause serious problems.

3. Holding It In

Resisting the urge to urinate because you might be occupied or busy at the moment is a mistake many people make. This pressure gets placed directly on the kidneys and in most cases, leads to kidney stones, kidney failure, kidney disease or incontinence.

4. Too Much Sugar

Just like salt, consuming too much sugar will also put its fair share of strain and pressure on the kidneys. According to research, people who consumed 2 or more sugary drinks per day end up having protein in their urine, which means the kidneys aren’t working like they should be.

5. Mineral and Vitamin Deficiencies

Consuming a diet poor in essential vitamins and mineral can lead to a whole list of health conditions, such as kidney stones and kidney disease. Therefore, add more fruits, vegetables, and homemade meals to your diet.

6. Excessive Amounts of Animal Protein

A diet rich in meats, especially red meat, can cause buildup of lots of processed protein in the body, which as a result can increase the metabolic load on the kidneys. This can cause your kidneys to overwork, and such consistent stress can lead to kidney damage and dysfunction.

7. Lack of Sleep

As we all know, sleep is one of the most important things we do in order to heal and recharge our body and mind. Sleep deficiency on the other hand damages the bones, causes stress and kidney problems.

8. Caffeine Consumption

When it comes to caffeine, the effects are similar to the ones caused by salt. It can raise blood pressure, place a lot of stress on the kidneys, and cause damage over time.

9. Intake of Painkillers

When most people experience any type of pain, they immediately turn for the painkillers as a temporary solution. However, these painkillers have effects on the body which can be lethal. They cause extra tension on the kidneys and cause lots of damage. Therefore, turn to natural remedies for help.

10. Alcohol Abuse

While a glass of wine or a drink every now and then isn’t so harmful, drinking alcohol commonly can cause a lot of harm to the body, especially on the kidneys. It overworks them big time and usually leads to kidney damage and disease later on.
