REVEALED:Nigerian Politicians Are Funding Boko Haram, Negotiator opens up

International adviser, Stephen Davis
An international adviser from Australia has opened up on his dangerous 4-month stay in Nigeria.
63-year-old Stephen Davis has worked for 2 Nigerian presidents and established extensive contact with terrorist groups in Africa.
According to him, when he found out about the Chibok girls’ abduction, he made a decision to help. That decision almost cost him his life.
Davis said:
"When confronted by groups with an AK-47 in my face they'd say, 'you are American, we have to kill you',”. "When you say, no I'm not American, they think you are British, and say you will still die, but when I said I'm Australian, they said that's all right. "I have no idea why but it's certainly been helpful."
"I made a few phone calls to the Boko Haram commanders and they confirmed they were in possession of the girls," he said.
"They told me they'd be prepared to release some as a goodwill gesture towards a peace deal with the government, so I went to Nigeria on the basis of being able to secure their release."
"The girls were there, 60 girls, there were 20 vehicles with girls," he said.
"We travelled for four-and-a-half hours to reach them, but 15 minutes before we arrived they were kidnapped again by another group who wanted to cash in on a reward.
"The police had offered a reward of several million Naira just 24 hours before we went to pick them up.
"I understand, from the Boko Haram commanders I spoke to, the girls eventually ended up back with them. I don't know what happened to the group that took them but I suspect it wasn't good."
"It became very clear that if I was able to get 50 girls released then another group would kidnap 70 or 80 more," he said. "So by freeing 50 you were consigning 70 or 80 more to the same fate."
"Boko Haram used to telephone Nigerian journalists and give them a story, but that doesn't happen anymore,”  "They go straight to social media. They post their own material and they've learnt to become very savvy on social media and use it as an instrument to terrorize."
Dr. Davis added that the only way to stop Boko Haram is to cut off their funding, which according to him is majorly gotten from bank raids and Nigerian politicians.
"That makes it easier in some ways as they can be arrested, but of course the onus of proof is high and many are in opposition, so if the president moves against them, he would be accused of trying to rig the elections due early next year," he said.
"So I think this will run through to the election unabated.
"These politicians think that if they win power they can turn these terrorists off, but this has mutated.
"It's no longer a case of Muslims purifying by killing off Christians. They are just killing indiscriminately, beheading, disembowelling people - men, women and children and whole villages.
The over 200 girls kidnapped by Boko Haram on April 14 have still not been found.

Reports had it last week that 480 Nigerian soldiers fled into Cameroon to escape Boko Haram and they also sought refuge in schools.
The Cameroon Defense Minister, Edgard Alain Mebe Ngo'o told Voice of America that the situation in Ashigashia is stabilizing after a successful military offensive.

Nigeria Launches National Electronic ID Cards

President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday launched a national electronic identity card scheme, which backers said would boost access to financial and government services in Africa’s most populous nation. The head of state was issued with his own card, which features a credit card-style chip with personal as well as biometric data and doubles up as a prepaid charge and debit card. A number of Nigerian government agencies, from the police to the Independent National Electoral Commission, have embarked on their own separate ID card schemes. But Jonathan said the plan was to eventually include details such as driving license, health insurance, tax and pension information on the single card. “The regime of duplication of biometric databases must now have to give way to harmonization and unification with the e-ID scheme, which shall be the primary database,” he told reporters. Only 32 percent of Nigeria’s adult population are thought to have bank accounts, according to a 2012 study. Nigeria’s central bank has been pushing for a move away from cash to electronic payments and has trialled a scheme in the financial capital, Lagos, with the help of private partners. But the pilot project has not been plain sailing, with retailers and customers often facing frequent power supply and connectivity problems that slowed down transactions. The cards will be available initially to Nigerians aged 16 and older and all residents in the country for more than two years. Cardholders will be given a unique national identification number and have to provide fingerprint data, a photo and digital signature to cut the risk of fraud and embezzlement. The scheme has so far cost about seven billion naira ($42.5 million, 32 million euros), according to the National Identity Management Commission. Financial services firm MasterCard, the scheme’s payment technology provider, said 13 million cards would be available in the first phase, with more than 100 million to be issued in total. “Nigeria is ready for this,” the firm’s head of Sub-Saharan African operations, Daniel Monehin, told AFP. “Nigeria has been left out of electronic financial payment for decades but now Nigeria is saying we want to take our rightful place in payment. There has not been a project of this magnitude… that’s been rolled out at this scale.” Africa’s most populous nation has an unenviable reputation for fraud, particularly involving financial transactions. But Monehin said the card was “secured with the best form of security that is available”.

NEWS: Boko Haram beheads Christians in Gwoza, Nigeria

According to reports, Boko Haram militants are beheading young men in the Christian community in Gwoza, the Borno town that the insurgent group recently took over and declared an Islamic caliphate. Sources from the town claim that Christian men who refuse to convert to Islam are being beheaded while the women are being forced into marriages with the insurgents. "It is quite clear that terrorism has no friend, but it is abundantly clear that the Christians are worst hit. The whole town and the Parish rectory have been occupied by the terrorists. So many structures and items have been vandalized. Dozens have been killed and a lot of church structures have been burnt down. Christians in the town are really in a terrible situation, a moment of great persecution. Christian men were caught and beheaded, the women were forced to become Muslims and were taken as wives to the terrorists.” Rev. Fr. Gideon Obasogie, the social communications director of the catholic diocese of Maiduguri said. Continue... “It might surprise you to know that no one knows the state of affairs in this terrorist zone. The houses of Christians that have fled are now occupied by the ‘haramists’. Their cars are used by the terrorists,” Rev Obasogie said. He also said Boko Haram sympathizers in Gwoza showed the militants homes belonging to Christians and even showed them where some of the Christians went to hide when the killing began. They were fished out and killed.

SPORT: Odemwingie’s penalty causes controversy and other related stories

PETER ODEMWINGIE (Stoke City) Odemwingie found himself at the centre of controversy after winning a penalty against former club Cardiff City in a 1-1 draw. The Nigerian forward went down after a challenge from behind by Kim Bo-kyung in first-half stoppage time, with Marko Arnautovic scoring from the spot, but Peter Whittingham equalised with a penalty of his own in the second half. Cardiff manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said his players had been “incensed” by the penalty won by Odemwingie. Also Ivorian sharpshooter Wilfried Bony took his season goal tally from all competitions to 19 with a brace as Swansea defeated Newcastle 2-1 at the weekend. Bony gave the Swans breathing space in the fight against relegation after Nigerian Shola Ameobi had put the Magpies ahead in the English Premier League match. Malian Cheikh Diabate was the toast of Bordeaux, scoring his first hat-trick in a 5-2 drubbing of French Ligue 1 strugglers Guingamp. ENGLAND SAMUEL ETO’O (Chelsea) Cameroon star Eto’o scored his 12th goal in Chelsea’s colours in the 12th minute of their home game with Sunderland, volleying home a corner from Willian. He was to finish on the losing side, however, as goals from Connor Wickham and Fabio Borini gave Sunderland a shock 2-1 win and condemned Jose Mourinho to his first home league defeat as Chelsea manager. WILFRIED BONY (Swansea City) Bony scored twice in a 2-1 win at Newcastle United that lifted Swansea six points clear of the relegation zone. The dreadlocked Ivorian striker cancelled out Shola Ameobi’s opener with a header in first-half injury time and then netted a stoppage-time winner from the penalty spot. SHOLA AMEOBI (Newcastle United) Nigeria international Ameobi had put Newcastle ahead in the 23rd minute at St James’ Park with his first goal since December 2012. The 32-year- old flicked on a high ball to strike partner Luuk de Jong and then collected the Dutchman’s pass before steering a left-foot shot past visiting goalkeeper Michel Vorm. SPAIN STEPHANE MBIA (Sevilla) Cameroonian midfielder Mbia scored his third goal for the club as the Andalusians continued their fine form with a 4-0 thrashing of Granada. Sevilla are just three points behind Athletic Bilbao in fourth place and the sides meet this weekend. ALEX SONG (Barcelona) Cameroon midfielder Song played the full 90 minutes as Barcelona maintained their La Liga title hopes by coming from behind to beat Bilbao 2-1 at Camp Nou. ITALY GERVINHO (AS Roma) Roma maintained their slim hopes of challenging leaders Juventus for the title with a 1-0 win at Fiorentina, but Ivorian Gervinho wasted a great opportunity to score before Radja Nainggolan’s 26th-minute winner when he side-footed wide of the open goal after being set up by Adem Ljajic’s counter-attack. ADEL TAARABT (AC Milan) Milan’s resurgence under Clarence Seedorf continued with a fourth straight win from a 3-0 home rout of Livorno and Moroccan international Taarabt fired an early warning to the Serie A strugglers with an audacious long-range strike that inched just over the crossbar. Taarabt finally grabbed his first goal at the San Siro when he combined with Mario Balotelli to dribble through the defence and beat Francesco Bardi from seven yards. KWADWO ASAMOAH (Juventus) Juventus ground out a 1-0 win at home to Bologna to edge closer to a third consecutive scudetto. It was a cagey win and Ghanaian Asamoah was given little opportunity to express his offensive skills to the full. At the end of the first half he saw one delivery for striker Sebastian Giovinco go amiss and did little else of note in a win which kept Juve eight points ahead of second- placed Roma with four games remaining. FRANCE CHEIKH DIABATE (Bordeaux) It was a red letter day for the Mali international as he celebrated his first hat-trick in Bordeaux’s 5-2 drubbing of Guingamp. In fine form after injury, the 25-year-old striker’s treble came in the first half to bring his tally for the season to 11. With justification he took home the match ball. ABOUBACAR DEMBA CAMARA (Ajaccio) The Guinea teenager scored in the fourth minute, but that was the only bright point as the striker’s side went on to lose 2-1 at Corsican rivals Bastia to condemn Ajaccio to life in the second division next season. VINCENT ABOUBAKAR (Lorient) The 22-year-old Cameroon attacker played the role of super sub. Introduced late on against Montpellier with his side trailing 2-1 they were set for a 4-2 defeat before his 90th and 93rd-minute goals produced an improbable draw. That took his haul for the campaign to 16, with only PSG’s mighty Zlatan Ibrahimovic on 25 above him. GERMANY DIDIER YA KONAN (Hanover 96) The Ivory Coast forward scored what proved the winner in Hanover’s 3-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt to help keep them out of danger in the Bundesliga relegation battle. Playing as Hanover’s lone striker, Ya Konan slammed home his second goal in as many games when he hit a 29th-minute goal from the edge of the box which gave the diving Eintracht goalkeeper Kevin Trapp no chance. IBRAHIMA TRAORE (VfB Stuttgart) The Guinea international weighed in with an assist in Stuttgart’s 3-1 romp against Schalke 04, which was a huge boost for the hosts’ survival chances. Traore fired in a cross from the right wing which Germany striker Cacau headed home on 54 minutes to make it 2-0. RUSSIA CHRISTOPHER SAMBA (Dynamo Moscow) The Congo Brazzaville defender had a good chance to double the lead against FC Krasnodar midway through the second half, but his header was parried and the visitors went on to win 2-1 against a tiring 10-man Dynamo side. SEYDOU DOUMBIA (CSKA Moscow) The Ivory Coast striker missed a clearcut early chance, converted a late first-half penalty and set up the final goal in a 4-0 triumph at Kuban Krasnodar before being substituted eight minutes from time.

NEWS: German arrested on suspicion of killing man he met on 'cannibal' website

A German policeman has been arrested on suspicion of killing and chopping up a man he met on the Internet who apparently fantasized about being killed and eaten Policeman in Dresden suspected of killing and chopping up man he met on fetishist website for cannibalism A German police officer has been arrested on suspicion of killing and dismembering a man he met on a website catering for cannibalism fantasies, authorities in the city of Dresden said on Friday. The 55-year-old man, identified in the media as Detlef G, reportedly told investigators he had stabbed his willing victim in the throat and chopped the body up into multiple parts after the pair agreed upon the killing on Nov. 4 After his arrest on Wednesday the suspect directed officers to a number of locations surrounding his property where he had buried the remains, city police chief Dieter Kroll said at a televised news conference. It was unclear on Friday whether the man, an expert in handwriting analysis in the forensics department of Saxony’s State Office of Criminal Investigation, had eaten any body parts. Prosecutor Lorenz Haase said he had denied having done so. But the victim, a 59-year-old man from Hanover, had “since his youth fantasised about being murdered and eaten by another person”, Police Chief Kroll said. The pair are believed to have met around a month before the killing on a website for cannibalism fetishists which says it deal with “exotic meat”. Investigator Maik Mainda said they maintained “very intense contact by chat, by mail, by SMS but also by telephone” before arranging to meet in person at Dresden railway station. They agreed the killing should go ahead that day, police said. Mr Haase said police were investigating whether they had sexual relations ahead of the killing. The suspect had said only that “his victim wanted to be killed and he fulfilled his wish”, he told the Associated Press. The killing recalls the notorious case a decade ago when confessed German cannibal Armin Meiwes was arrested for the murder of a man who had answered his Internet ad seeking a victim for “slaughter and consumption.” He is serving a life sentence after unsuccessfully arguing that the death should be classified as a mercy killing. Meiwes claimed at the time that he had received hundreds of responses to his online appeal. The Dresden case “will show how easily people can come together with the most gruesome fantasies on the Internet and exchange their perversions in an increasingly crass manner,” Police Chief Kroll said. But, he said, in 99 per cent of cases, those involved satisfied their desires purely by exchanging information. By Hannah Strange, agencies

Detlev G., whose last name has not been released, is charged with murder and defilement of a corpse A German police handwriting expert is on trial over accusations he killed and chopped up a man he met in an Internet cannibalism chat forum. Detlev G., whose last name has not been released, is charged with murder and defilement of a corpse in the November slaying of a 59-year-old businessman from Hannover who had fantasised about being killed and eaten. Prosecutors say there is no evidence the suspect ate parts of his victim. Defence attorney Endrik Wilhelm has maintained the victim killed himself and that his 56-year-old client, who went on trial in Dresden state court on Friday, does not have it in him to kill anyone. The suspect directed authorities to a number of places around his property south of Dresden where the remains were buried following his arrest last year.

EBOLA NEWS : Ebola Experimental Drup, Zmapp Fails, Liberian Doctor Dies

Explaining that aside from Ebola, the TRU-D SmartUVC technology, also helps in subduing transfer of other deadly diseases like Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, MERS, influenza, norovirus, Clostridium difficile, Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, MRSA, etc., in all types of health care settings, including isolation wards, patient rooms, operating rooms, surgical suites, intensive care units, emergency rooms, public areas and ambulances. “We know through extensive CDC-funded research specific to TRU-D conducted by thought leaders in epidemiology and infection prevention that TRU-D is effective at eliminating anypathogen by delivering a precisely measured UVC dose. “As soon as we knew we could aid struggling hospitals in Liberia, our team came together and formulated a plan to get TRU-D on the ground. More than 200 TRU-Ds have been deployed to disinfect hospitals across the U.S. and internationally’’, Deal reiterated. The device, which has been tested in the US was developed by a team of engineers, physicians and industrial hygienists with the sole aim of sterilizing health centres, rooms where patients are being taken care of, contaminated surface and many more. And surprisingly, the U.S. Army tested the  particular wavelength against Ebola and found that the measured dose TRU-D delivers results in incredibly rapid destruction of the virus with its pathogen-specific dosing options. It would be recalled that the Ebola outbreak in Nigeria has caused lots of uproar in the country. From banks checking the state of health of their customers before allowing them to transact, to citizens desisting from bush meats and many more.

NEW : NGO wants Chief Judge to visit the prisons

A Non-Governmental Organisation, the Centre for Justice, Mercy and Reconciliation, has appealed to chief judges in states to visit prisons on quarterly basis to reduce prison congestion. The organisation’s President, Mr Hezekiah Olujobi, made the appeal in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ibadan on Monday. NAN reports that the NGO is engaged in advocacy for ex-convicts in order to reintegrate them back into the society. Olujobi said that the Chief Justice of Nigeria should mandate the judges to visit prisons on quarterly basis in order to fast track the release of inmates. “They should visit prisons and determine those whose detention is manifestly unlawful. “ They should also determine those who have been incarcerated for longer periods than they would have stayed if convicted for the alleged offence for which they were detained. “Whenever chief judges visit prisons, they don’t usually visit those who are charged with criminal offences. “ It is, however, clear that not all those charged with criminal offences really committed a crime,” he said. He cited indiscriminate arrests, unnecessary litigation as well as unending adjournments as causes of prison congestion. Olujobi said a research study carried out indicated that the adverse conditions in prison environment have a negative effect on ex- convicts. “There is need for government at all levels and the judiciary to put in place well equipped rehabilitation centres for ex-convicts. “ High Court judges should also give criminal cases before them priority by identifying the bottlenecks in each case and bringing them to a logical conclusion,’’ Olujobi said. AFRICA NEWS : Shock as Rwanda arrests army officers

Authorities in Rwanda have arrested several senior and former top military figures, an official said Monday, in an apparent crackdown against internal critics of the country’s strongman and president, Paul Kagame. Army spokesman General Joseph Nzabamwita refused to say why three prominent military figures had been held, and referred queries to reports carried by the pro-government New Times newspaper. According to the paper, former presidential guard chief and serving colonel Tom Byabagamba was arrested on Saturday “over suspected involvement in crimes against state security”. “Byabagamba was arrested on Saturday as part of investigations into the case involving two retired army officers who were arrested earlier in the week,” the paper added, quoting the army spokesman. Last week security forces arrested former brigadier-general Frank Rusagara, who had previously served as a senior official in the defence ministry and as defence attache to London. Also arrested was retired captain David Kabuye. Rwandan authorities have not released any further details of the accusations, although according to a Rwandan political expert, the arrests do not appear to be linked to the activities of banned, exiled opposition groups. “The arrests essentially target those who have a reputation of being loose cannons who are sometimes critical and without necessarily being seen as traitors in the real sense of the term,” said the source, who spoke on condition he not be named. “The objective is to keep discipline in the party,” he added, referring to the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) — led by President Kagame and which has dominated the country since its then-rebel army ended the 1994 genocide. Kagame has been credited with overseeing dramatic economic advances while in office, although he has also come in for mounting criticism for suppressing dissent, including the alleged assassinations of exiled opposition figures.

MARRIAGE

Marriage is life binding process. Monogamy is the uniform teaching of the Bible.'Polygamy is contrary to God's perfect will and institution. Also, under the New testament dispensation, no one has a right to divorce and remarry while the first companion lives. When a person becomes converted, necessary restitution, on this line, must be done without delay if he has married wrongly.
Marriage is a pure and holy union, a living symbol, a precious relationship that needs tender self-sacrificing care. I           t is God's idea and not a derivative of any culture. It is a gift from God to man and it has three basic aspects: (1) The man leaves his parents (2) They both are joined together (3) The two become one flesh in intimacy and commitment
So Marriage is part of God's plan to raise the Christian family

Circumstances

People tend to see you through the prism of how they met you,and they limit you t who you were.Let go of what they think about you; let go of the disappointments and setbacks in your life and hang on to the promises of God for your future.
Don't wait too long or late to find your purpose. You need to be in place where you can fly, swim, and think and not to be limited! A positive attitude gives you power over your circumstances instead of your circumstances having power over you.
